Temp Contacts – Terms of Service

Welcome to Temp Contacts! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your installation and use of the Temp Contacts Chrome Extension (“Extension”), which provides temporary email addresses and phone numbers on each new browser tab. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.

1. Eligibility & License

Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years old to use Temp Contacts. By using the Extension, you represent that you meet this requirement.

License. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes.

2. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use Temp Contacts and any Temp IDs (temporary emails or phone numbers) only for legitimate, non-malicious purposes. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Phishing, impersonation, fraud, harassment, spam, or any other deceptive or abusive behavior.
• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to extract source code.
• Interfering with or disrupting the operation of the Extension or its backend services.

3. Temporary Addresses & Numbers

• Availability. Temp Contacts generates disposable email addresses and phone numbers (“Temp IDs”) via third-party providers. We do not guarantee continuous availability, deliverability, or compatibility with every website or service.
• Retention & Deletion. By default, each Temp ID—along with any incoming messages—is deleted after 24 hours (or sooner if capacity requires). You are solely responsible for saving any data or content you receive through a Temp ID.
• Removal Rights. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove or disable any Temp ID, incoming mail/SMS, or associated content at any time and for any reason, without prior notice.

4. Privacy & Data

• No Personal Data Collection. We do not store or share your personal email addresses or phone numbers. The Extension may use cookies or local storage only to manage Temp ID assignments.
• Third-Party Services. Third-party Temp ID providers may log usage or message metadata. We have no control over their privacy practices—please review their policies separately.

5. Intellectual Property

• Our Rights. All branding, code, graphics, and documentation for Temp Contacts are our exclusive property, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
• Your Content. You retain ownership of any messages or files received via Temp IDs. By using the Extension, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use aggregated, anonymous usage data for analytics and service improvement.

6. Disclaimers

• “As-Is” Service. The Extension is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We expressly disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• No Guarantee. We do not guarantee uptime, performance, deliverability, or that Temp IDs will work with every website or service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Temp Contacts nor its affiliates, officers, or employees will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of—or inability to use—the Extension, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Temp Contacts and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Extension or your violation of these Terms.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We’ll post the updated Terms here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in [Your Jurisdiction].

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Extension at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted under these Terms immediately cease.
